Kelly Stables, star on Two And a Half Men (among a long list of credits,) just seems born-ready for fame and success... with stunning looks, a sharp wit and such a cute personality, who doesn't want to see more of her?
So I'm thrilled to have this real-life "Hot Chick," Kelly Stables, with us to share some of her spunk.
Gabrielle Reilly: So what are your favorite beauty tips Kelly?
Kelly Stables: Okay. I love this question. I have 3 answers. My first and shortest answer is this: Smile.
My second shortest answer is this: Believe that you already are beautiful.
The long answer is this: Every woman (myself included) wants to be beautiful. I believe beauty comes from within, and here is a quote that explains my best tip for BEAUTY: It comes from How To Eat Like A Hot Chick by Jodi Lipper & Cerina Vincent. "Hot Chick (definition): A confident woman. She knows what she wants and gets it. She is aware of her flaws, but she doesn't obsess over them and instead thinks that maybe (just maybe) they actually add to her unique BEAUTY. She is passionate. She loves life. She is comfortable in her own skin and owns her sexuality, but uses it purely for good. She does not see other women as her enemy and competes only with herself to do her best at all times and to be her best at all times. She is forthright, honest, and disarmingly herself. She never tries to be anyone else. She is having fun and she is sexy and you just want to be around her to soak up some of those good vibes. She isn't perfect, but she doesn't care because she is hot. And so are you." I told you it was a long answer.
Gabrielle Reilly: OMG, I am so going to embrace my butt jiggling now as I run to the store to pick up a copy of that book Kelly. Thanks for the tips! For all of our readers out there who love being in front of the video camera, do you have tips for being in front of the camera?
Kelly Stables: I would say... Believe in yourself and God bless America. I have no idea. Have fun!
Gabrielle Reilly: God bless America. You worked with one my Aussie favorites and friend, Josh Lawson on Romantically Challenged (actually, I did an interview with Josh: http://www.theglobaltownhall.com/josh_lawson) What struck you most about working with Josh?
Kelly Stables: Okay I just read that interview (I love your hair, Gabrielle) and now I miss Joshy Bear. He insisted everyone call him Joshy Bear when we were working on set. Um, the first thing I noticed about Joshy Bear was how unlucky he was with the ladies. It was sort of sad, really, but then again that is probably because he lacks the cute factor. Oooh, I'm kidding. Who doesn't love Aussie Josh. For real, Josh is sexy, funny, charming as all get out, talented, kind, and a great actor. It was awesome being castmates with him and he was so much fun to be around.
Gabrielle Reilly: Oooh "Joshy Bear?" Now, that's the cutest thing I've ever heard! Just makes me want to share a honey sandwich and watch Humphrey Bear with him. Bet it was a blast working on set with both of you!
My hair? Thanks! Actually one of my friends (Kelly LeBrock AKA The Woman in Red/ supermodel) and I were just chatting about our hair in an interview recently and how we absolutely love this new ground breaking product (no, really) that makes everyone talk about your hair. I've included our exchange and where girls can get it done at the end of the interview (only a few place do it and it lasts for about 4 months) since people ask me so often.
Gabrielle Reilly: What has been your favorite career highlight?
Kelly Stables: Playing the girlfriend of the Emmy award winning actor, Jon Cryer on Two and a Half Men. Hands down. Okay well, that, and working with legendary director James Burrows on Romantically Challenged. Feet down.
Gabrielle Reilly: How do you balance your life, look so good AND spend long days shooting TV shows and movies? Do you have minimum sleep requirements? When do you squeeze in getting your nails done etc? Do you do face masks etc?
Kelly Stables: I use the ole' pizza and Pilate's philosophy. I just made that up, but you know, I try and mix it up. I really love ice cream, seriously a lot... so I just try hard to stay active so I can eat naughty things. That, and I take a multivitamin everyday along with trying to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
I like to do my own nails while my husband watches his UFC & basketball. And thank you for reminding me about the facial - I have a tube of this cucumber melon peel off thing. I've had it since the late 90's. I should probably throw it away because it is so old... but there's still stuff left in it. It's a pretty big tube.
Gabrielle Reilly: You looked in great shape in your underwear in Two and a Half Men! What does your weekly fitness routine look like?
Kelly Stables: Oh, thanks! They taped that underwear to me so nothing would fall out. Um, anyway, I'd say on any given 3-4 days out of the week I try to do any combination of the following: Hiking, jogging, yoga, cardio-kickboxing, weights, Buns of Steel tapes (yes, tapes), elliptical machine, and I play on a softball team. My name is Speedy because I am very, very fast at running.
Gabrielle Reilly: Taped your underwear? Ha, ha, yes I remember walking on stage in a swimsuit in front of a live and TV audience... fortunately the girls in the dressing room were kind enough to teach me about "butt glue." They glued my swimsuit to my butt so it wouldn't ride up! Who knew??? So what does your diet look like throughout the year?
Kelly Stables: I think it looks pretty well balanced. I don't really eat fast food. I try to eat more whole grains as opposed to white starchy stuff, and I also try to not eat an enormous portion of anything. But listen, I do enjoy eating -especially if it tastes good. I like bratwurst and I love coconut cream pie. But I only indulge in that stuff about as often as I get my hair done, which is like every 2 1/2 months. My everyday diet is pretty healthy.
Thanks Kelly. See you at the top hot chick! xxoo
Oh, here is the hair care info for everyone.
