JOHN DALY, PGA GOLF PRO INTERVIEW WITH GABRIELLE REILLY

John Daly, two-time PGA golf champion, remains ever popular as a fan favorite.   Never shy to stop and say hi to fans, John is loved as a normal bloke everyone can relate to who happens to have won a few PGA championships.

Off the course John plays the guitar and sings and has recorded an album "My Life" that features guest appearances from Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, Johnny Lee and Daron Norwood.  John Daly is also known for his kindness and his legendary generosity.

John Daly tells us more about his life in this straight to the point interview.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Can you give our readers some words of wisdom to help improve their life that you have learnt along the way?

John Daly:  Just enjoy what you're doing and cherish it!  If you don't like what you're doing change it up because we are only on this ride once.

Gabrielle Reilly:  You're still so young with your whole life ahead of you.  Have you started imagining what it is you want for the second nine of your life considering the first nine has had such spectacular moments?

John Daly:  I think the 2nd half is to work harder and prepare more because I'm not getting any younger.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What do you think makes you so much better at golf than the average person?

John Daly:  Most people have jobs and golf is my job.  I get to practice at it more.

Gabrielle Reilly:  When did you first start playing golf?

John Daly:  Age 4

Gabrielle Reilly:  When did you realize you were gifted at golf?

John Daly:  I don't think you ever know you're gifted --I just loved the game

Gabrielle Reilly:  What was your childhood like?

John Daly:  My dad was a jerk and My MOM was my world--god bless her soul.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What has been your favorite career highlights?

John Daly:  Winning the PGA, the British Open & the birth of my 3 children.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Congratulations on your recent weight loss.  Have you changed your lifestyle up to maintain the weight loss?

John Daly:  I have changed the daily "daly" calorie intake to 1200 calories.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Are you on an exercise program?

John Daly:  Nope never and isn't going to happen I walk 6 miles on a course when I play and that is the best exercise.

Gabrielle Reilly:  We've all got those who want to see us fail, but you have all of your fans rooting for your success and happiness and they believe in you.  Does that motivate you to give it everything you've got every day?

John Daly:  It motivates me more to see all of my fans behind me.

Gabrielle Reilly:  I've always said people often learn how to handle failure since we are all challenged with it, but we aren't taught how to handle success.  Has the success in your life been both a personal blessing and a curse?

John Daly:  The success has been a blessing winning and having my children.  The ups in life have outweighed the downs significantly.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Thanks John, we're rooting for you to be your personal best on and off the course.
